Matjaz Sivic is a co-founder, co-owner, and CEO of the family owned company Silvaapis d.o.o., (www.silvaapis.si), which was established in 1992. He graduated from the Biotechnical faculty in Ljubljana (Department for Wood Science and Technology) in 1995. A few years later, he finished his Masters Degree on Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. Eighteen years ago, he established a cluster and started to merge several productions from Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia. As a head of the cluster, he is responsible for searching for new customers, increasing sales, and the development of new products. His cluster sells different wooden products in over 20 countries globally. During his career, he partnered with some of the biggest companies in the world, like IKEA, Habitat, Stokke, DLH, Carl Gotz, Holz Speckmann, Hagen, Fritzoe, and Optimera. He loves sports, good books, good food, and above all, his family. He lives with his wife and two children in Ljubljana in Slovenia.
