ELEMENTS OF ANCIENT HEALING. The Word. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. —St. John 6: 33. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. —St. John 8: 43. The New Testament is primarily a record of healing and of healing philosophy. The healing taught and manifested by Jesus consisted in coming into a consciousness of wholeness. Those who were healed were "made whole." The palsied, the lame, and the blind were regarded as lacking in wholeness. This lack of wholeness was a lack of at-one-ment with the will of God, or the One Principle and Primal Source of life. It was a condition of consciousness.
