This adult coloring book contains 26 unique coloring pages adapted from the woodcuts of the early-twentieth-century artist and illustrator Dugald Stewart Walker.

Printed on one side of the paper. Imagery includes a variety of fairy-tale and fantasy characters such as dragons, knights, giants, mermaids, mermen, ogres, necromancers and others.

Designs vary in complexity, but the majority of the illustrations in this coloring book are quite complicated and are ideally suited for the patient colorist looking for detailed images. Because many of these coloring pages have been adapted from woodcuts depicting scenes set either against a night sky or against a dark ocean, there are a number of illustrations which contain more inked-in black areas than typically found in a traditional coloring book.
The light-weight paper quality of this economy edition makes this coloring book most suitable for use with colored pencils or crayons. Paper does hold up to markers (water or alcohol-based) if a heavy-weight bleeder page is used. Not suitable for use with watercolors.
