Synopsis

77 year old Detective Hal Halverson uncovers a murder that is almost as old as he is.Trying to identify the victim, he seeks witnesses that lived in the Cariboo, Washington area in 1954. They include a local cattle rancher that was an alcohol soaked pimp at that time, an 87 year old prostitute living in a homeless encampment in Seattle, a wheelchair bound convicted murderer hiding in Spokane and an ex lady of the evening, triple murderer and arsonist recently released from a Montana prison. Four different views of the same occurrences. Do any of them reflect a true story of the time?
