What do you believe in? We all have encountered this question at some point. For some, the answer is simple. For others, it can be one of the most complicated questions ever.
Why do you believe in it? This follow-up question forms the heart of this guide to religious thought and practice. During their travels through more than sixty countries, David Verboom and Ruth Schleppi-Verboom have met people from all walks of life and many different religious backgrounds. With respect and an open mind, they present a marvelous collection of stories and quotes from different world religions and the motivations behind faith.
From the perspective of Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Atheism, and Ietsism they explore the existence of God, the possibility of life after death, the relationship between faith and religion, the meaning of suffering, and other major questions.
OMG will take you on an inspiring spiritual journey. Whether you are a devoted believer or a determined atheist, this nuanced work will teach you something new and surprising about the fundamentals of belief.

Ruth and David are siblings who grew up in the Netherlands. Both were always interested in the stories, the cultures, and the traditions of the communities they visited. David is a humanitarian aid worker and has worked in places as Syria, the Gaza Strip, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Sudan, Chechnya, and many more. He currently lives with his wife and three children in Jerusalem. Ruth has lived in Kenya and Panama, and now lives in Los Angeles with her film-maker husband and four kids.
With their breezy yet informative style and open mind the duo will take you on an inspiring journey—a quest for God, or no god.
