Françoise Webb is the published author and illustrator of seven children’s books that received high praises from the New York Times and other periodicals. She also designed fabrics and wallpaper for her own firm in New York City. At age twelve, she came to live in the United States with her mother, and for many years enjoyed frequent visits with her grandparents in the cherished family home in Brittany. She has lived on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for twenty-five years. Her next book, Souvenirs of Captivity, is her translation of the journal her grandfather kept while serving as a French army officer during the First World War. Her son, his wife, and her three grandchildren live in California.
