In 1943, at the age of 19, Richard B. Yeager headed off to war. His travels took him from North Africa to England to France and straight into the heart of Nazi Germany. As a member of the 813th Tank Destroyer Battalion during World War 2, he saw more of the world in three years than most experience in a lifetime. He was my father.
