(Sometimes it is told as 5,000 or 10,000 times, depending on the version.) When asked about it, Edison allegedly said, "I have not failed 1,000 times. I have successfully discovered 1,000 ways to NOT make a light bulb."The following stories revolve around the truths that I’ve discovered. While a proponent of never letting the truth get in the way of a good story, I assure you that these are as close to fact as my memory will allow. Some may seem incredible but, after all, that’s why I’m taking the time to write them down!
