It is a poem that explains the ideas and concepts of the pitching plan explained in my first book, What’s the Count?, but for players who enjoy reading a rhyming poem instead of a book with many detailed pages. A Pitcher’s Verse explains how the pitcher starts with an advantage at the beginning of every at bat and gives the pitcher a plan to keep her advantage. Having a plan allows a pitcher to anticipate certain things ahead of time and be prepared for them when they occur. A Pitcher’s Verse supplies pitchers with this plan, one I call, The Ultimate Mental Pitching Plan.
