Synopsis

In 1905 it was not unusual for men to wrestle in sock garters. See for yourself in Armand Lusciez's brief overview of the sport of wrestling. If dangerous moves are your thing, you will certainly enjoy the description of the "necktie" and the "force collar", which I suspect have never fully vanished from the fierce vocabulary of genuine catch-wrestling, a sport which has managed to retain the fully 'weaponized' version of grappling like few others.
