The Shift - Discovery is the story of a strange young girl of unknown origins with a supernatural connection to the plant world. Gayle is forced to grow up and come into her powers while being shuffled from foster home to foster home and enduring a variety of painful and dangerous situations. The testing of her will begins at a very early age and readers will enjoy discovering how Gayle faces and overcomes each test. In a world of men and boy heroes, we need more Gayles. The first of three, this book takes us through Gayle's world as she grows, and introduces us to the characters who will fight the good fight and support her throughout the series.
