Synopsis

Follow Sam, a young English man from a poor, hard working, farming family on the rise in English business and Society, now sailing through the Mediterranean and down the west coast of Africa to the cape of Africa in 1750. His ultimate goal is forming in his mind as he sees the architecture and learns the history of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. His best friend, Ralph, a hardened sailor, is with him for protection and to give him an education about the sea. Watch their adventures at sea and in the ports that he lands in. Learn a little history about the countries along the way and meet some of his fellow sailors. This novel is a follow up to The Adventures of the Smith Family and the second book of a trilogy. It stands alone, but with flash backs to the first book to help flesh out the family members and history.
