Dr. Fred Ray Lybrand is a writer, entrepreneur, educator, speaker, a former pastor, and the creator of The Writing Course. Dr. Lybrand and Jody (married 36 years) educated their five children at home from birth to college (all conquered college with ease). Their philosophy was one of independent learning; so all aspects of the curriculum taught Tripp, Laura, Forrest, Holmes, and Brooks to become their own best teachers. The Writing Course was built on this approach and invites the student to her own instincts as she writes for 'how it sounds'; with her own unique voice. The essence of learning to write is writing a lot, but most of us have significant blocks which keep us from enjoying the discovery of becoming an effective-and- interesting self- taught writer. If you can speak, you can write...and Dr. Lybrand's formal studies in theology, literature, communications, law, system dynamics, personality, fiction writing, and five languages combine to help anyone make use of his own, God-given, language talent. You can find out more about The Writing Course at www.advanced-writing-resources.com, and more about independent learning at www.independenthomeschool.com.
