Synopsis

In 1968 the Cold War is still going strong, but not every CIA agent have proven themselves capable of handling the action. Ex-marine Sam Carpenter has caused trouble one too many times and found himself stuck on assignment in an unimportant old city in Luxembourg. He’s not alone either, his wife and young twins are in Luxembourg with him. This complicates matters when the CIA Station in nearby West Germany, needing bodies, throws him into the middle of a web of intelligence operations, assassinations, and double crosses in Luxembourg, Bonn, Frankfurt and Washington D.C.

For fans of Graham Greene, Donald Westlake and books featuring “Intricate plotting, sly humor, sudden violence” (Tom Worrell, Yale Record editor), the 2nd Lieutenant Spy is an amusing and engaging thriller that is difficult to put down
