David L. Jackson is an author, motivational speaker, and teacher concerned with the overall construction of identity. A product of the inner city of Miami Dade County Florida, David uses the community to write about the experiences of WE. Carefully exploring everyday interaction from nakedness (birth) down to the position of the now. His motivation stems from a want to uncover questions in which typically are not asked to self. How did I come to be? When was the first time I realized …? Is this who I really I want to be? His pen is his flashlight uncovering the personal insecurities that often prevent this search for answers to take place. Identity, innocence, and “re-remembering” are his muse. Conversations, events, music, tv shows, songs, and anything he has taken pieces from are the locations he is searching for these answers.
