Young cowgirls have rodeo dreams. When given opportunities and support, many dreams can come true! Caroline believes and receives five special gifts that change her life. One, a blessing from an ancient amulet, handed down to her, but can it get her to the National Finals Rodeo? This is a 'shadow-story' about a girl on the heels of Sarah Rose McDonald, the 2014 WPRA Rookie of the Year. Could a small town in southeast Georgia, produce two such champions, in a western rodeo world, could this really happen? The barrel racing life suits Caroline just fine as she learns from locals who live the horse life to the fullest. She discovers a family oriented world of animal lovers and wholesome values, and learns what it takes to get to the NFR. J E Free lives in the Golden Isles of Georgia and writes novels about real life experiences. A horse life developed when he studied and started horse adjusting in 2009. As Sarah Rose McDonald and Bling climbed to the top of barrel racing in 2014, he began this shadow-story about a young girl and her dreams. This is for the young and old alike, who race every weekend around barrels, poles and cones.

J E Free Born in the fifties and raised in southern New Jersey in a house with lots of laughter, he is entertained plenty by just watching people in action. He graduated Villanova University (1979) and Life Chiropractic College (1983) and transplanted to Georgia. He was an Associate Professor until 1992. Married and living in the Golden Isles, he is currently in Private Practice and writing novels and children/young adult books. He started working on horses in 2009 and found a new love in Equine Adjusting. "My knowledge of horses continues to grow. Writing is a way to express my love of these fabulous creatures. I tend to read more than I write but writing helps me be a teacher and entertainer.” He writes about life’s controversies. His books utilize facts to improve on the fiction, but be suspicious because so many end up being true! Fast paced and informative with real life humor to entertain you.
