Joe Watkins is a former US Senate aide to US Senator Dan Quayle and a former White House aide to US President George H.W. Bush. He is a regular political commentator on MSNBC and CNBC as well as Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Arabic. He has been the chief executive of a public school district, an assistant to the president of the University of Pennsylvania, an equity partner and managing director of an asset management firm, and a business consultant. Since 1998 he has served as the pastor of a church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the Middlesex School, the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton Theological Seminary. Watkins has been married to his college sweetheart Stephanie Taylor Watkins since 1975 and together they have three married children and five grandchildren.
