Synopsis

Thoughts and Ideas is a book of poems and short essays where the author, P.J. Victor, decided to open up and share with us his beliefs. As the title indicates, they are his thoughts and ideas of the day when he wrote that particular piece. His inspirations were in fact personal things he saw happening in his life or around him. We never know when we shall be inspired. It may through a casual conversation with friends, overhearing someone else's conversation, a personal experience, or of someone close to you. At times it's just a word, a sentence or idea. For whatever reason it resonates with you, and you feel compelled to elaborate on the topic. What this canadian author shows us in his first book is that not all men are scared to show a sensitive side to themselves. Being very sentimental in some of his writings shows a vulnerability most men shy away from. Being in touch with his emotions is pretty clear in this book. From friends and relationships, P.J. Victor opens up to us on how he views things in his ideal world.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

P.J. Victor is a Canadian author born in Ontario, but grew up in Montreal since the age of five. His upbringing in a large family, with four brothers and three sisters taught him the meaning of family and its importance. His European background also helped in molding his character, and the person he is today. His marriage didn't last twenty years, but ample enough time to bless him with three children of his own. They are his pride and joy. Being a part of their lives held a high priority for him. From coaching his daughter and eldest son in soccer, to being vice-president of the figure skating club where his daughter showed off her talent, was a thrill, never a chore. Being a member of the parents committee at their school, including a stint as school rep at the regional board, allowed him once again to play an active role in what happens in his children's lives. Playing taxi to all their activities was always a great pleasure, more time with his kids. This book allows him the opportunity to leave something behind to them when his time comes.
