Synopsis

A mysterious stranger moves in next door in a small Iowa farm town. Watching him through a telescope, the leader of the infamous Norwall Pirates softball team and secret kids' club sees computers, high tech devices, and bicycle wheels. Lots and lots of bicycle wheels. And the gossips down at the post office are sure the man is guilty of murdering his wife and child in a fire. Gossips all know the truth, right? So Tim and the Pirates begin a campaign of secret surveillance and ninja sneakery to find out the truth. But, good gravy! He figures out that he is being watched. The guy is smart. The guy, in fact, is a genius. And maybe he is even turning rabbits into people as government agents are trying to track him down. Farm boys in Iowa couldn't possibly get that wrong, could they? He couldn't possibly be a good guy and a future good friend, right? And what is he making in that basement laboratory with all of those danged bicycle wheels? The Pirates have to find out.
