Synopsis
One of the prominent reasons for serious traffic accidents is bursting of tyres. Tyre bursting is major concern for the drivers since it is very difficult to prevent. Research shows that tyre burst is mainly caused by abnormal tyre pressure. Thus traffic accidents can be prevented if the tyre pressure is regularly monitored during driving. Keeping these things in mind, we have devised a system which indicates the pressure level in the tyre with help of sensors. The present study deals with design, construction and testing of Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The TPMS automatically detects the variation in tyre pressure in real-time and warns the driver to take measures which prevents bursting of tyre thereby avoiding the possibility of an accident.
