Synopsis
Bloody, battered and ever so reluctant, Budd Ashby is about to discover his part in saving the world. Having met Juliette at a London hotel, Budd’s life had taken a dark turn. He’d woke to find that almost everyone was dead. The power was out and an unnaturally-thick fog filled the city streets. Before long, the dead had risen and were shambling after the living, hungry for flesh. Trapped by the fog and besieged by the ravenous-dead, there seemed to be no hope for Budd, Juliette or the dwindling band of fellow survivors, at least not until the arrival of a mysterious man from Budd’s past. A man with a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist and an uncompromising demand for obedience. At the head of a group of mercenaries, the newcomer led a desperate escape through the zombie-filled streets to the promise of safety upon the River Thames. But this was no act of charity, no fortunate coincidence. Budd’s rescue was deliberate and his journey is only just beginning. It will be a deadly race against time to save humanity; a mission that Budd would like nothing to do with. He simply wants to find Juliette. He is mankind’s last hope.
