Mindy Merrell has devoted her 30+ year career to communicating good ideas to home cooks. She is coauthor of Cheater BBQ and two Jack Daniel's cookbooks.Merrell is the former Drive Thru Review columnist for the Tennessean and recipe columnistfor NFocus magazine. She was a Land Grant University home economics major from Virginia Tech with a deep respect for self-rising biscuits and cornbread thanks to years of working as a young publicist with Linda Carman and the Martha White Test Kitchen in Nashville. Merrell is also a 2014 winner of the show, Chopped.

R.B. Quinn is an attorney, historian, and writer. He is coauthor of Cheater BBQ: Barbecue Anytime, Anywhere, in Any Weather and a former columnist for The Tennessean and NFocus.

Linda Carman was the longtime consumer affairs director, test kitchen director, and bakingconsultant for the Martha White Kitchen in Nashville until her retirement in 2018. She was also a consultant for White Lily. She lives in Cullman, Alabama.
