Skyler Darshini Freimann is a retired mental health care practitioner, poet and award-winning photographer. She is the author of “Ring of Dreams,” a photographic Passion Play using her photographs of professional boxers along with Biblical quotes, and “One With The Sofa, a Taoist Guide for the Physically Challenged, a book of her art along with Taoist inspired spiritual teachings. Her books can be found on www.amazon.com. She is also featured on her mandala art website “Darshini Arts,” an online business featuring her mandala T-shirts and greeting cards. (www.darshiniarts.com) An initiate of Advaita Vedanta, the Hindu path of non-dualism, Skyler’s Hindu spiritual name is “Darshini” which means “bringer of light.” All of her art contains a commitment to shining light on the many paths to healing that so many of us undertake. She is a lifelong student, practitioner and teacher of spiritual traditions and lives in the Pacific Northwest with her beloved human and animal family. Although disabled and chronically ill for many years, she treasures life and hopes to remain an active artist, student of life, seeker and lover of all beings until she moves on.
