Synopsis

As far back as I can remember, I have always been surrounded by family and friends, all being from the “old school” that is the only way I can put it since we are now living in the “new school of thought. I have carried that teaching throughout my adult life.Having married at a young age, I was quite content to spend my time turning my house into a happy home and raising my two children.As the years passed, my passions were formed. Music, singing and writing. Many songs were given to me by the LORD as I played around on my “Cascio”. Remember them? They were electric keyboards. I and my four sisters would sing these songs in church, nursing homes and anywhere else the people would listen.Since I always kept a journal, I naturally began to write. Poetry, short stories, Bible studies, essays, opinion pieces, whatever. Being accepted and published in the many small press magazines I submitted to through the years really encouraged me to keep writing. I am so grateful to those editors.Now, in my winter season, I stretched out and put a manuscript together and Gary Drury Publishing™ has agreed to publish it. My prayer and my joy would be to have others embrace and relate.Published by Gary Drury Publishing™.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Janet still resides there with Nick her husband of fifty-seven years. Raising two children, she is now a great-grandmother and she and her husband are both retired. Always an avid reader, her favorite book has been the Bible, which she has read through forty-two times. She loves to teach Bible studies and next to reading and writing, music and singing are her other passions. She also has a deep love for her country and studies its history. Having her work published in many small press magazines across the country down though her twenty years of writing, gives her great pleasure. Westward Quarterly, Pancakes in Heaven, Northern Stars, Ideals, Good Old Days, To God Be The Glory, Bell’s Letters, Smile and of course, Gary Drury Publishing™ Anthologies to name a few.
