Known to his family as "Donnie", Charles Edward Scotton was born in 1938 in Highpoint, North Carolina. He graduated from Winston Salem State University in 1964 with a Degree in Elementary Education. Charles taught for the DC public school system for more than 30 years. His hobbies are art, drawing, singing, reading, going to the library and the movies, visiting the Kennedy Center, and a sports enthusiast (Go Skins!). In his spare time he reads stories to children at schools, libraries and churches. Charles has 4 lovely children and 6 beautiful grandchildren.
