These poems are about the author's relationship, in life and in death, with his son. His struggle, lasting more than half his life, with drug addiction ended in an overdose. Like a daily inspirational volume, you may want to read and re-read the most meaningful Haiku over an extended period of time. I hope these poems will bring you comfort in knowing that you are not alone in your feeling of regret, longing, and grief.
