À propos de l'auteur

Bloodlines is Karen Probert’s third book and the first one that is not a collection of short stories. Her earlier books: Fragments of Lives (2011) and Colouring Our Lives (2014) were filled with short stories about people with dreams and lives that seem ordinary on the surface but, like the lives of real people, often have twists or undercurrents that require them to act differently or rethink an event. Karen writes from wherever she is - at home in both Sherwood Park and Canmore, Alberta or on annual trips to both the US and Mexico. She is a founding member and current Past President of the Writers Foundation of Strathcona County(WFSC) in Sherwood Park, Alberta. She also teaches small workshop groups in creative writing techniques and enjoys the Writer’s Circle where she freely shares her shorter stories. The author’s articles, stories, and poems have been published in anthologies; as well as, magazines and newsletters. She co-wrote the group’s workbook, Your Lifetime of Stories (2013), on memoir writing, and was contributing author in Writing Prompt Journey(2010) and Postcards from Canada(2017).
