Synopsis

A little girl lived in the Northern Territory in Canada.
The girl had lost her lovely cat, a dog, and her mom.
She heard a legend of the aurora borealis on the day her mom passed away.
It was her grandfather who told her about it.
"The northern lights are the souls of the dead."
Once she understood, she went out every night to wait for the aurora in order to meet her mom and pets.
One cold night, she waited eagerly for the aurora, but it didn’t come.
She went to bed with disappointment in her heart.
Then,
Something miraculous happened to her during the night.


Author’s Note:

This picture book was created to comfort children and others who have experienced the death of a beloved pet, a precious grandparent, or a parent.
I would like to convey the comfort that death is not an eternal separation, but that we will meet again someday; perhaps our loved ones will always be with us in our hearts and memories.
As the Inuit legend says, when the aurora rises in the sky at night…
