Rooted in the Theology of Prayer is an understanding of who God is, how we can approach him, and the importance of submitting to his will. The bigger picture does not ignore us, but it embraces God and his Sovereignty.

In this volume, we have paid careful attention to the A.C.T.S model, which incorporates elements in prayer that are imperative, namely, Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. These will make prayer not just more meaningful but highly relational. This will touch the very core of our beings as it requires integrity and humility. Considering these aspects in your prayer life will either ignite or reignite your passion for so much more of God.
Sections have been included that deal with the Prayer Watch of the Lord and how we can pray strategically at different times of the day for God’s will to manifest on the earth. This is where we truly acknowledge the role of partnership in prayer and the privilege that God has given us to be considered workers together with him. This very structured but deliberate approach to prayer will benefit both individually and corporately. It is also a very proactive way to spend those moments when we are most inclined to pray as we become aware of God’s leading.

We could not end the book without taking a keen look at both Informed Intercession and Revival through Persistent Prayer. The scriptures provide invaluable information concerning the mechanics and the motivation to pray. We can concur with many others that praying according to the Word is consistent with praying for God’s will. But the call to persevere through prayer until revival is experienced remains a clarion call. God is asking people to return to him so that he would revive them. I trust that you pace yourself and savour the moments you spend interacting with the material and the God who inspired the writings.
