Synopsis

BIOZONE’s Chemistry Explained makes the fascinating world of chemistry accessible to all students, regardless of their prior knowledge.     The high-quality infographics and inquiry-driven pedagogical approach inspires students’ curiosity about the world from a chemist’s perspective. BIOZONE’s full colour, unique, interactive worktext approach encourages direct engagement with the content, allowing students to record their answers within the context of the stimulus material and form a “record of work” for quick and easy revision. Students are encouraged to revisit their written answers via a teacher-led classroom review and improve them if necessary.  Practicals have been included to enhance the learning experience and, where appropriate, modern day applications of chemistry concepts have been incorporated into the learning material to bring the subject to life.   Throughout the content, students are presented with opportunities to practice modeling, data analysis, interpretation of evidence, and evaluation of information. Students will learn the critical skills needed to be a scientist, both when engaging with the world around them and in the laboratory. Formative assessments are included at the end of each chapter.
