In Pursuit of Tomorrow is John Boyko's ninth book addressing Canadian history and politics. The Globe and Mail has called John "a distinguished scholar of Canadian Political history" and the Winnipeg Free Press has praised his "encyclopedic knowledge of Canadian history." John has written editorials for newspapers across the country, writes for the online Canadian Encyclopedia, and has appeared on radio and television addressing his books and current political affairs.

John has earned degrees from Trent, Queen's, and McMaster Universities. He has served on and chaired numerous boards and been elected to municipal office. John lives in the Village of Lakefield in Ontario's Selwyn Township.
