À propos de l'auteur

Levent Caglar is an author and independent scholar whose work explores the relationships between time, society, political order, democracy, nationhood, and historical transformation. For more than five decades he has studied questions of collective identity, governance, social continuity, and the ethical foundations of political life. His writings bring together insights from political theory, history, sociology, philosophy, and systems thinking. He is the author of a number of books on nationhood, democracy, state formation, social change, and the philosophy of time. The Temporal Organisation of Society forms part of a broader intellectual project that examines how human communities emerge, endure, transform, and decline through time. At the centre of this work is the conviction that political institutions, collective memory, democratic life, and ethical responsibility can be understood more clearly when viewed through the lens of temporal organisation.Levent Caglar lives in Ottawa, Canada.
