Synopsis

And when the first sounds burst from the bard's throat, Estrada stood on the dance floor gazing up at Conall and thinking again of that four-hundred-year-old yellow cedar tree that had been split by lightning. Thick as Manuka honey and melodic as his pipes, Conall's voice tossed and turned and evanesced, then spiraled back like Time. Like they were all caught in The Between. When tears rolled down Estrada's cheeks, he tasted their salt on his tongue. “Like treacle.” Michael's whisper tickled his ear. “I can't wait to taste him.”

In the captivating sequel of The Tortured King, ancient magic collides with modern trickery as a Wicca high priest embarks on a thrilling journey to defy the boundaries of time and challenge destiny. In his attempt to prevent the tragic outcome of The Vampire’s Game, goth magician/coven high priest,Estrada, initiates a preemptive strike against Diego and his vampire brood. Archaeologist Sorcha O’Hallorhan slips into her own time warp with a woman she once adored; and Conall Ceol, an Iron Age Druid bard, rides into the future to challenge Michael Stryker for Estrada’s love.
