Synopsis

Seasoned child protection worker, Amy Malloy, has learned to balance her own well-being against a demanding workload. When Amy experiences trauma on the job, she is determined to cope with her feelings and carry on with her work. She knows there are people who count on her, including young Justin, whose mother is dying.

Just as Amy is recovering, she faces another devastating situation. In the aftermath of this terrible failure, Amy withdraws from everyone, including Evan Grant, the police officer whose friendship she has hesitantly accepted.

When she cannot seem to find her balance again at work, Amy retreats to a cottage on an island for solace and soul searching. Can Amy find the strength to return to the profession she loves and recover the relationships she abandoned?
