Stuart Simmonds is an ex sports coach/cricketer and author of the critically welcomed Watching With My Heroes. An updated version was released in July 2019 to similar praise and five star reviews. Based in Sussex, Stuart is also Father to Hannah and Lucy, the stars of his most important creations.
The first Hannah the Spanner stories were originally written for his elder daughter Hannah, and after fulfilling a long standing promise to turn her beloved bedtime tales into books, the first two Hannah the Spanner stories came to light in April 2019. They proved so popular with Hannah and her real life friends that before long countless children had become fans and were asking for more. By the end of the year, five more Hannah the Spanner books had been produced with the promise of another series in the pipeline for both the UK and international markets.
Now in 2020, Simmonds brings us the tales of Harry the Karate Monkey, which he has written for his younger daughter Lucy in time for her 21st birthday. The adventures of the cute, but dreadfully behaved monkey are sure to have both children and adults laughing out loud and will no doubt continue to entertain people all over the globe for many years to come.
