Synopsis

Step beyond the Sagrada Familia. Wander past the crowded boulevards. Discover the Barcelona that hides in plain sight.

Let Secret Barcelona lead you far from the familiar - into the city’s most intriguing corners, forgotten histories and wonderfully unusual places that even locals rarely uncover.

Unravel hidden stories behind Gaudís masterpieces and the Sagrada Familia. Explore a surprising world of miniature trains concealed beneath the main station. Discover a mysterious sculpted hand with a story few can explain. Step inside a forgotten anatomical amphitheatre where science once pushed its limits. Seek out a hidden Civil War air-raid shelter, preserved beneath the streets. Find a museum tucked away at the back of an ordinary shop, invisible to passers-by.

Look closer, and you’ll uncover secret Masonic symbols scattered across the city - and even the emblem of FC Barcelona hidden within the walls of Santa Maria del Mar.

These are just a handful of the remarkable places waiting to be discovered inside.

Written by local experts, this is not the Barcelona of postcards and packed itineraries. It’s a different city entirely; one of hidden gems, untold stories and unexpected discoveries.
