troopers et des gliders de la 82nd Airborne de la Sicile au coeur de
l’Allemagne en passant par la Normandie et les Pays-Bas.
Les auteurs reviennent également sur l’émouvante histoire du village
au lendemain de la guerre. La présence de deux grands cimetières
provisoires sur le territoire de la commune trois années durant et la
reconnaissance de la population envers ses libérateurs ont permis
de tisser des liens d’amitié très forts entre les habitants et les All
Americans.

À propos de l'auteur
Historien, spécialiste de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et de la
bataille de Normandie, Christophe Prime collabore depuis
plusieurs années à diverses revues d’histoire militaire et participe
à des documentaires. Il a notamment publié de nombreux
ouvrages qui font autorité, parmi lesquels Omaha Beach, mardi
6 juin 1944 (OREP), Utah Beach, mardi 6 juin 1944 (OREP) et
La Bataille du Cotentin (Tallandier).
Passionné d’histoire, Éric Belloc s’intéresse depuis plus de 20 ans,
au gré de ses rencontres avec des historiens, des témoins et des
vétérans, aux troupes aéroportées américaines pendant la
bataille de Normandie. Depuis 2010, il est conservateur des
collections de l’Airborne Museum de Sainte-Mère-Église.
