Born in Chile, Francisca Matteoli spent her childhood in Latin America. Today, from her Paris home, she writes travel books and contributes to National Geographic France and Conde Nast Traveler. She is the author of the popular Hotel Stories: Legendary Hideaways of the World, Island Hotel Stories and American Hotel Stories published by Assouline.
