Les 58 œuvres présentées font clairement référence à Picasso, par leur style ou leur sujet, tel un recueil de citations picturales. Ce catalogue offre une vue panoramique de l’œuvre de Picasso à travers le regard d’autres artistes : il s’intéresse aux influences de Picasso sur les générations suivantes, les Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Saura ou encore Louis Cane, qui se sont confrontés à leur maître et qui ont fait de la création de Picasso une référence essentielle pour leur démarche.
