About the book >.>.> This book, titled Henry Moore: Retrospective, presents the first retrospective of the renowned British sculptor Henry Moore in France since his passing. Organised by the Fondation Maeght, the exhibition took place during the summer of 2002 and showcases Moore's significant contributions to 20th-century art. His sculptural works reflect a deep exploration of materials and forms, tracing a journey from his early pieces influenced by primitive art through his surrealist phase and into abstraction, culminating in large sculptures that revitalise themes of figuration in his later years. Each piece resonates with the spirit of modernity. The retrospective features a collection of 180 major works, including 105 sculptures and 75 drawings. These pieces have been sourced from the Henry Moore Foundation, prominent European and American museums, as well as international private collections. This comprehensive presentation encapsulates the breadth of Moore?s artistic journey and highlights key moments of innovation and expression throughout his career.Accompanying the exhibition is a catalogue comprising 256 pages, which includes 185 colour illustrations and 31 black-and-white images, providing a visual feast for readers and art enthusiasts alike. Text contributions by Anita Feldman Bennet, Jean-Louis Prat, and Margaret Reid enrich the reader's understanding of Moore's impact and the significance of his work within the context of modern art. Through this catalogue, readers are invited to engage deeply with Moore's art and the themes that pervade his creations. N° de réf. du vendeur Batch-FM716-VG-14451
