Synopsis
Alex Grossmann (1930-2019) carried out pioneering work on wavelet analysis with Jean Morlet, demonstrating its applicability to signal processing. Grossmann subsequently made significant contributions to mathematics, physics, computer science, and biology. This contributed volume features chapters written by collaborators of Grossmann and researchers whom he influenced in a decisive way.
