Synopsis
This volume examines problem solving and applied systems aimed at improving performance and management of organizations. The book's eight chapters are integrated into two parts: methodologies and techniques that discuss complex dynamic analysis of the organizations, participative processes for building trend scenarios, consultancy as a systemic intervention process, processes to promote innovative goals in organizations, and analytical processes and solid mathematical representation systems. The authors also include a model to urban parks location, an analytic model to urban services location, and a system to forecast demand with fussy sets.

À propos de l?auteur
Patricia Esperanza Balderas-Cañas holds the PhD (Hons.) in Pedagogy, the master'sdegree in mathematics education, and the degree in Mathematics all of them by UNAM. Sheis Full Time and Definitive Professor in the Systems Engineering Department, UNAM-FI.Her research lines are on operations research (inventory theory, combinatorial optimizationand modelation of systems), and structural model for learning research.
Gabriel de las Nieves Sánchez-Guerrero holds the Doctor degree (Hons.) in SystemsEngineering in the Engineering Graduate School from UNAM. Nowadays he is Full Timeand Definitive Professor in the Systems Engineering Department of the Faculty ofEngineering (UNAM-FI). His research interests include the heuristic techniques forparticipatory planning and systems interactive evaluation. His current research is heuristicsystemic evaluation.
