Présentation de l'éditeur

Francine Simonin has dedicated her life entirely to the art of drawing , graphics and painting. Her subjects are inspired by literature, music, the human body and landscapes. The relationship to her own art is sensual, violent and passionate. Simonin's world is full of desire and memories. It is also a tribute to personalities such as Marguerite Duras, whom she accompanied for a long time. The etchings are masterful, both in their creative freedom as well as in their technical skill. Her paintings reflect the colours of the world before a storm. The brushwork is choreography and calligraphy at the same time and reflects a world full of splendour and suffering. This book shows for the first time 40 years of drawing, painting and engraving by this important artist.
