Conçu avec l´agence parisienne LAN et accompagné de plus de 100 dessins et plans ainsi que de photos de Cyrille Weiner, ce livre constitue un rétro-atlas contemporain du Paris haussmannien et offre une relecture de la ville dans ses volumes, ses temps et ses usages. Avec les dessins techniques et calculs de Umberto Napolitano, Benoît Jallon et de l'ingénieur Franck Boutté, il reproduit également les normes et standardisations techniques imposées par l´harmonisation pour explorer la lisibilité, la densité et la fluidité de la ville.

Benoît Jallon, born 1972, graduated as an architect from Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette and is a founding partner of LAN (Local Architecture Network) in Paris. Umberto Napolitano, born 1975, studied architecture at Università Federico II in Neapel and at the Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette. He is a founding partner of LAN (Local Architecture Network) in Paris. Franck Boutté, born 1968, is an architect and civil engineer and principal of Paris based engineering firm FBC Fanck Boutté Consultants.
