Synopsis
La crise du logement est l'un des défis sociaux les plus urgents de notre époque et est étroitement lié aux enjeux de l'urbanisme et de l'architecture. Les personnes sans domicile fixe font partie intégrante de la société urbaine et dépendent fortement des espaces publics et des infrastructures urbaines. Pourtant, de nombreuses villes à travers le monde utilisent des outils d'aménagement et de conception urbaine pour dissuader les personnes sans abri : certaines formes de vagabondage sont délibérément rendues plus difficiles, et ces personnes sont rendues invisibles dans le paysage urbain. L'aménagement urbain reflète donc toujours des rapports de pouvoir ; il peut exclure ou, au contraire, ouvrir des voies d'inclusion. Le livre illustre comment les espaces publics devraient être conçus pour offrir protection, dignité, opportunités et favoriser les rencontres. À propos de l'auteur
Matthias Drilling is a professor at Zurich University of Applied Sciences' School of Social Work, Institute of Diversity and Social Integration. He taught as visiting professor at the University of Calgary's School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape in 2024–25. Fabian Neuhaus is an associate professor at the University of Calgary's School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape, where he directs the NEXTCalgary Research Lab.
