Synopsis
Klossowskis reading of Nietzsche attempts an overturning of metaphysical tradition, anchored in an idiosyncratic semiotic of intensity: a system of signs and sign relations driven by impulsive fluctuations. This text presents the first philosophical exegesis of Klossowskis semiotic, excavating and analysing his theories of language, causality, temporality and individuation.
