À propos de l?auteur

Arezoo Campbell received a B. A. in philosophy, a B. S. in biological sciences and a Ph.D. in environmental toxicology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in Irvine, California. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Campbell's research emphasizes the means by which environmental exposures induce aberrant innate immune responses, which may accelerate the appearance of age-related neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Campbell also investigates the importance of inflammatory and oxidative stress in contributing to adverse changes within the brain.

Stephen Bondy received an M. A. in biochemistry from Cambridge University, in Cambridge, England and his Ph.D. in neurochemistry from Birmingham University, in Birmingham, England. He subsequently held appointments at Columbia University, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado, and theNational Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences. He is currently a Professor in the Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on identifying environmental factors which may accelerate brain aging, with emphasis on understanding the mechanisms that may underlie these events. In addition, Dr. Bondy is pursuing the development of therapeutic approaches with the potential to slow neurodegenerative processes.
