This book focuses on techniques that can be applied at the physical and data-link layers of communication systems in order to secure transmissions against eavesdroppers. It discusses topics ranging from information theory-based security to coding for security and cryptography, and presents cutting-edge research and innovative findings from leading researchers. The characteristic feature of all the contributions in this book is their relevance for the practical application of security principles to a variety of widely used communication techniques, including: multiantenna systems, ultra-wide-band communication systems, power line communications, and quantum key distribution techniques. A further distinctive aspect is the attention paid to both unconditional and computational security techniques, building a bridge between two usually distinct worlds. The book gathers extended versions of contributions delivered at the Second Workshop on Communication Security, held in Paris, France, in April 2017 and affiliated with the conference EUROCRYPT 2017.

Soft cover. Etat : Near Fine. A specialized collection of research on communication security, cryptography, and physical-layer security, based on the Second Workshop on Communication Security held in Paris and affiliated with EUROCRYPT 2017. This is the 2018 softcover reprint, not the original 2017 hardcover. Topics include wireless secret sharing, wiretap-channel security, secure massive-MIMO communications, authentication, cryptographic protocols, coding for security, and quantum key distribution. The volume brings together research addressing both computational and unconditional approaches to communication security. It is Volume 447 in Springer's Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering. Condition: Near Fine. Unused, apparently unread copy sold to me as "New" from a bookseller specializing in publisher and distributor overstock. Clean, bright and tight, with no writing, highlighting, ownership marks, or other signs of use. Covers show only very minor shelf and storage wear, including light surface rubbing and slight edge/corner wear consistent with warehouse storage and handling. Conservatively graded Near Fine rather than New because of these minor exterior imperfections. Photos are of the actual copy offered for sale. N° de réf. du vendeur CEBP - 003
