Synopsis

A field experiment was carried out to study the response of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.). The experimental material comprised of 10 treatments with 3 number of replications. The data were obtained for 19 characters including tuber yield and its attributes. Three foliar application of cycocel 250 µl/l at 30, 45 and 60 days after planting recorded higher tuber yield (8.87 kg/plot).

Dr. S.N.Saravaiya is serving as I/C Professor, Dept. of Vegetable Science, ACHF, NAU, Navsari, has a brilliant career throughout. Nitesh has completed his M.Sc.(Horti) Veg. Sci.
