These multifarious applications of 1, 4-benzothiazines have prompted to pay attention on the studies directed towards their chemistry and biodynamicity. It has been found that there are various synthetic methods for obtaining value added 1, 4-benzothiazines. The details of these methods have been incorporated in this book. It has also been noticed that there is a scope to provide novel synthetic protocol for 1, 4-benzothiazines and also to optimize cyclocondensation conditions to provide cost effective reaction protocol for existing method and which may be used widely .

D V Mane is working as Professor in Chemistry, Shri Chhatrapati ShivajiCollege, Omerga (MS) since last 27 years. He has Published 86 researchpapers and guided to 9 Ph. D. students. Presently He is working as DeputyDirector, University Grants Commission, Human Resource DevelopmentCenter, Dr. B. A. Marathwada University Aurangabad (MS) India.
